From U.S. Slaughterhouses to Global Supply Chains
Child labor in slaughterhouses is shocking, and it’s something we have the power to stop.
From dangerous conditions in meatpacking plants, to exploitation in global cocoa supply chains, to young workers facing violations in fast food, children are being put at risk so corporations can cut costs and increase profits.
In the U.S., illegal child labor is on the rise, with minors working in hazardous environments like slaughterhouses—jobs that are far too dangerous for anyone under 18. At the same time, in the cocoa industry, child labor remains deeply embedded, driven by low wages and lack of accountability from major brands. And in fast food, young workers are facing labor violations, unsafe conditions, and excessive hours.
These issues may look different across industries, but they share the same root cause: companies failing to protect workers and enforce basic labor standards. The good news is that change is possible. Public pressure has already pushed companies to take action—and together, we can go further.
Join us in holding corporations accountable and demanding a future where no child is forced to work in unsafe or exploitative conditions.
Starbucks' chocolate isn't that sweet, failing to pay cocoa farmers a living income, address child labor, or protect forests.
